Safeguarding at Comper

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare, both physical and emotional, of every child in our care, both inside and outside the school premises.
Our safeguarding policy sets out a clear and consistent framework for delivering this promise, in line with safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance. The mist up to date policy can be found on our policies page.
The school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is: Catherine King
We also have other members of staff with full DSL training who will deputise for the safeguarding lead in their absence. These members of staff are:
Sarah Weaver (Co-Headteacher & Nursery Teacher)
Alice Kiddell (School Business Manager)
You can contact any of the DSLs via the office email: office@comper.oxon.sch.uk. Please label your email 'SAFEGUARDING  - FAO: DSL'
Comper define safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children as:
  • Protecting children from maltreatment
  • Preventing the impairment of children’s health or development
  • Ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care
  • Taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes
