Welcome to Comper Nursery School

Dear Parents and Carers,
A very warm welcome to Comper Nursery School. We are a maintained nursery school at the heart of our wonderful and diverse East Oxford community. Comper is a safe, welcoming and nurturing school that offers a sense of belonging for children and their families. We cater for children from two to four years old. We offer 15 and 30 hour funded places for 2 – 4-year-olds. For those only eligible for 15 hour places, we offer the opportunity to buy in further wrap around care should you need it.
Our children are split into two rooms based on their age when they join us:
Caterpillars – this is where are two and three year olds are based.
Butterflies– this is where are three and four year olds are based. Your child can join this room the term after their third birthday.
All the children play and learn together in our wonderful outdoor area.
Children and their families are at the heart of all we do. We believe that a child’s earliest experiences lay the foundations for their self-confidence, well-being, and a positive sense of themselves as a learner as they grow up.
We aim to provide the highest quality of care and learning for your young children. We do this through providing a safe, emotionally sensitive & inclusive environment. We always try to make learning fun with a curriculum which sparks children’s curiosity, inspires & challenges them while enriching their skills and knowledge.
We seek to foster a close partnership with parents, carers and their families. All our children are allocated a keyworker person when they start with us. We pride ourselves on knowing each individual child inside out, however, we understand that your knowledge is invaluable to ensure that we work with your child in a way that is unique to them.
We work with families to ensure that all children achieve their potential across our diverse community, having relentlessly high expectations of ourselves and others.
Please do get in contact with us if you would like to know more about our school.
