Our Pets

We have two dogs in our Nursery on a regular basis. Both of them are owned by members of staff. Please read about Sonny and Dotty below. 
 
We have a full risk assessment in place for the dogs, which you can also see below.
 
Please let us know at the school office if you or your child have an allergy to dogs or are frightened or phobic. If this is the case we will ensure the dogs are secured safely.
Sonny

School Dog

Sonny is an 8 year old Labradoodle. He is owned by Catherine King, one of our headteachers. He is a mature dog and is very friendly and gentle. He loves people and will happily be patted and stroked by adults and children. He loves playing with a ball and having his tummy rubbed. He stays mainly in the school office, but will sometimes go with Catherine into the garden for a run around and to say hello to the children that are interested in him.

Dotty

School Dog

Dotty is a Border Terrier. She is owned by Alice, our School Business Manager. She is still very young but she has been coming to Comper since she was a puppy so she is very used to being in the school environment and has also learnt lots from her best friend Sonny! Dotty is very friendly and playful so she loves saying hello to everyone who comes into the office. Sometime she goes out into the garden with Alice and likes to chase her ball if you throw it for her.
