Introduction to Caterpillars (our two year old base)

Our two year old provision is open from 8:40 am - 3:00 pm during term time only. There are a few spaces in After School Club on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays but these fill up very quickly. These sessions run until 5:30 pm.  We are also registered to take children who are three years old. This means children can come before they are eligible for a funded space in nursery which can really support them to settle before starting in nursery.

We also have ten spaces for funded two year old children. Please see our admissions policy for admissions criteria.

The two year olds will learn and play in their own room, but will also have free flow access at all times to our wonderful outdoor area where they will learn and play alongside our children from the butterfly room.

TYE Funded Children

We have ten spaces for TYE funded children in our provision. We will try to accommodate your choice of sessions, but we may be limited when we are very full. You will need to show our office staff your funding code when you apply.  If there is not a space when you first apply  we will add you to the waiting list and get in touch as soon as a space becomes available.

Key Person Approach

In order to ensure every child is given the appropriate level of attention and care, a key person is appointed for each child. A key person is a named member of staff assigned to an individual child to support their development and act as the key point of contact for the child and their parents. The key person has special responsibilities for working with a small number of children and helps build and develop positive relationships with children and supports them to have a secure attachment with one adult when they are away from their main caregiver.

Outdoor space

The children will have plenty of  opportunity to play and explore outside whatever the weather.  We recently refurbished our wonderful, big garden to include a lovely forest school area. We ensure that our doors are open throughout the day so that the children can choose to be outside if they wish. Please make sure you bring waterproof clothing and wellies for your child so they can be outside rain or shine!
