Getting Help

At Comper the headteacher, Catherine King coordinates and manages all the provision for the children with additional needs. The SENCo ensures that our staff have the right professional development to be able to understand and meet the needs of the all our children.

If I am concerned, who do I talk to?

  • If you are concerned about your child, the first person to discuss this with is their class teacher or key worker. They will then discuss your concerns with the SENCo.
At Comper we pride ourselves on the strong relationships that we forge with parents and carers. You and your children are at the heart of everything we do; the knowledge and understanding that you have of your child is fundamental to ensuring that we give them the very best start possible at Comper. All the decisions that we make around the provision for your child are made in consultation with you. We also work with a variety of outside agencies to help get the very best support and expert advice to meet the individual needs of your child. Some of the agencies we work with are: The Health Visitor Team, the School Nursing Team, the Special Educational Needs Support Service, the Educational Psychology Service, the Early Years SEN inclusion Team, The Communication and Interaction Team and Oxfordshire Schools Inclusion Team.
