Apple and Banana Room (Comper Building, Hertford Street)
The Apple and Banana Room was opened in 2007 based at the Comper Foundation Stage School in Hertford Street, Oxford. There is no restriction of a catchment area for attending the Apple and Banana Room.
We are registered with Ofsted and can accommodate your child from the day of their 2nd birthday. Children usually then stay with us until they start nursery school. Please note, that by using the Apple Room this does not guarantee your child a place within the Comper Foundation Stage School, a separate application should be made for this.
There are no minimum requirements for sessions taken so, whether you would like your child to discover new experiences for just a couple of sessions per week, or if you are a working parent and require full time care we are here to fulfil your specific needs.
We are open from 7.45am—5.30pm, 50 weeks per year* and can offer a variety of different sessions within the day to suit your requirements. Since we are situated within the Comper Foundation School, where siblings may be attending, we modelled our sessions on those of the school.
If your child is staying with us for lunch, you could either provide them with a packed lunch box or book a school meal with receptionist. Weekly school meal menu is available on your request.
* Please note we are closed for 1 week in August and during Christmas and New Year, plus the 5 inset days.
